Role Summary

This Dublin-based Financial Accountant position supports IFRS 15 reporting for Vodafone Ireland. Working within the Financial Operations team and in close partnership with Reporting and Finance colleagues, the role is focused on improving technical accounting depth while helping ensure financial reporting is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly IFRS 15 reporting cycle for Group submission, making sure outputs are accurate, complete, and delivered within deadline.
  • Contribute to monthly Group reporting and annual statutory reporting in accordance with IFRS 15.
  • Serve as the main contact for IFRS 15 questions raised by Group Reporting.
  • Keep process documentation current and help maintain a strong internal controls framework.
  • Work closely with the Shared Service Centre in Pune to share knowledge and drive ongoing improvements.
  • Support internal audits by addressing queries and helping strengthen controls.
  • Assist with external statutory audits by preparing required materials and coordinating input from stakeholders.
  • Spot process gaps and support efficiency improvements, including automation and AI-supported solutions.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant is a qualified accountant with solid technical accounting expertise, preferably with IFRS 15 experience. You should understand controls, documentation, and audit processes, and be comfortable collaborating across teams, including offshore delivery models. Strong organisation, the ability to juggle competing priorities, and a proactive mindset toward digital-led improvement are important. The role also calls for analytical thinking, good judgment, and clear communication when explaining technical matters to different stakeholders.

What You’ll Gain

  • A competitive compensation package.
  • Flexible working arrangements designed to support balance between work and life.
  • A generous employer pension contribution.
  • Free phone service and discounts on mobile devices.
  • Access to a broad learning and development offering, including Vodafone University.
  • Special discounts for family and friends on Vodafone products.
  • 23 days of annual leave, 3 charity days, and an additional day off for your birthday.
  • Free parking.
  • Use of wellness facilities, including a gym and health services.

Learning Opportunities

  • Deepened expertise in IFRS 15 technical accounting and reporting.
  • Exposure to end-to-end financial reporting and statutory compliance.
  • Experience managing stakeholders across global and offshore teams.
  • Stronger audit preparedness and controls improvement skills.
  • Practical experience with automation and AI-enabled process enhancements.
  • Improved data analysis and financial interpretation capabilities for decision-making.
