Job summary
The company is hiring a Finance Officer focused on accounts receivable to manage accurate and timely billing, invoicing, and collection of payments. The role also involves keeping detailed records of funds received, supporting month-end reporting and reconciliations, and helping with audit-related requests. You will work with internal teams to make sure billing information is correct and finance processes run smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Gather the required backup documents and issue invoices to clients promptly and accurately.
- Prepare and upload invoices to client portals or invoicing systems in a timely and correct manner.
- Produce monthly statements of account and send them to clients during the first week of each month.
- Follow up with clients when needed to secure payment of overdue invoices.
- Review and resolve discrepancies found in incoming receipts.
- Keep accurate records of all payments received.
- Support the preparation of estimates for incoming funds.
- Work with the Business Support team to maintain billing accuracy.
- Prepare the accounts receivable ageing report and ensure it is completed on time.
- Handle advance payment reconciliations promptly.
- Provide invoice copies and supporting records for audit purposes.
- Take on additional ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma in Accountancy, LCCI, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 to 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay effective under pressure.
- Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 is an added advantage.
- Comfortable using spreadsheet and database tools, especially Excel.
- Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using modern communication tools such as email and phone systems.
- Ability and willingness to work closely with others to meet daily objectives.
