Role Overview
The Munich head office finance team is looking for a flexible, motivated, and dynamic Finance / Accounting Intern (m/w/d) starting in early July 2026 for a minimum commitment of 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Help prepare monthly and quarterly financial closings.
- Organize financial data for use in MS Excel, analytics tools, and MS PowerPoint.
- Assist with the preparation of management reports.
- Collect and structure payment-related information.
- Perform plan-versus-actual comparisons.
- Support variance analysis work.
- Assist with master data maintenance.
- Prepare documentation for the setup of new suppliers.
- Help review submitted documents.
- Support requests for information from internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with business analysis tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, and reporting using MS Excel and other analytical tools.
- Create ad hoc analyses and special evaluations.
- Prepare presentations, including materials for process-related and management meetings.
- Contribute to the improvement of controlling methods and systems.
- Support day-to-day operations and monthly closing activities.
Requirements
- Current bachelor’s or master’s studies in economics, business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- High degree of independence in working style.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
- Quick understanding of complex topics.
- Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel; experience with databases and Power BI is an advantage.
- Business-fluent English skills.
- Strong commitment, intellectual curiosity, and a solution-focused approach.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Confident and composed personality.
- Willingness to perform and demonstrate strong dedication.
