Job description
About the role
We are looking for a London-based filmmaker, editor, and videographer who can handle the full content process from shooting through to final edit. The studio creates YouTube content across true crime, creator commentary, and animation, with multiple channels already drawing more than 10,000,000 views. This position is aimed at expanding into more real-world, on-camera production, so the right person will take charge of that work from start to finish.
The style we are aiming for combines cinematic quality where needed with a lively, creator-led feel. You should be comfortable stepping into different environments, setting up cameras, lighting, audio, and the rest of the kit so each shoot looks polished and intentional.
This role is built around travel and hands-on production. You will be expected to work on location when required and also act as the main editing force once the footage is back. We value proof of ability more than a traditional CV, so a portfolio or reel that demonstrates both shooting and editing is essential.
What you'll do
- Travel for in-person shoots as part of the job, since location work is a major part of the role
- Operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment on set as a one-person production setup
- Prepare, manage, and use the full kit so every shoot has a professional finish
- Edit both long-form and short-form videos that keep viewers engaged throughout
- Shape raw footage into clear stories that match the tone and format of each channel
- Help define the visual direction as the studio moves from faceless content into on-camera productions
- Work efficiently within a fast-moving schedule while maintaining strong quality
Who you are
- A versatile creator who feels equally confident behind the camera and in the edit suite
- Based in London and willing to travel with relatively short notice
- Able to present a portfolio or showreel you are genuinely proud of
- Strong at pacing, narrative structure, and understanding what keeps audiences watching
- Reliable, motivated, and a good fit for long shoot days
- Open to feedback and able to adjust quickly when needed
Gear
Having your own production kit is preferred if you already shoot professionally. Any additional equipment required for specific projects will be provided by the studio.
Setup and terms
- The starting arrangement is freelance, with a fee of about $1,500 per month so both sides can assess the fit
- There is a clear path to a full-time position for the right candidate, with pay of up to $3,000 per month
- A performance bonus is planned for later once the role has been established
- All travel expenses for international shoots are covered
- When not travelling, you will work in person with the rest of the studio in London
- You will contribute to content that reaches an audience of more than 10,000,000 viewers
- The long-term goal is to grow the right person into an editing and production lead
How to apply
Submit a portfolio or reel by email, and make sure it shows both your filming and editing work. If you have handled a project entirely on your own, that is the best example to lead with.
