Job description
About the opportunity
Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support its medical imaging equipment across New Zealand. This is a strong fit for someone with a background in electrical, mechanical, electronics, avionics, biomedical, or a related discipline, and who wants to work with advanced healthcare technology.
The role combines local and international training, giving you the chance to build technical capability while working across a broad portfolio of medical imaging solutions such as X-Ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine.
What you'll do
- Be primarily based in Auckland while travelling to customer locations throughout New Zealand, including public and private hospitals and clinics.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, software or system updates, equipment upgrades, corrective servicing, and installations.
- Partner with internal teams to keep operations running smoothly and ensure service is delivered on time.
- Keep developing your expertise through ongoing learning, including self-study, computer-based training, mentoring, and practical experience.
- Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements at all times.
What we're looking for
- A trade qualification or university degree.
- A minimum of a restricted electrical licence, or the ability to obtain one.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A full unrestricted driver’s licence.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.
- Readiness to travel within New Zealand and overseas.
- Proof of permanent work rights in New Zealand.
Values and culture
You’ll be expected to work in line with Siemens Healthineers’ values: listening first, succeeding together, learning with passion, acting boldly, and taking ownership in daily work. The organisation is a global medical technology leader committed to improving outcomes and expanding access to care worldwide.
Equal opportunity and other information
