Overview
The College of Information Technology (CIT) at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is undergoing a strategic transformation to leverage the advancements in computing and artificial intelligence. The College is set to become a central hub for computing and informatics, expanding its multidisciplinary research and education offerings. New degree programs include BSc in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computational Linguistics (in collaboration with the College of Humanities and Social Sciences), MSc in IoT, and a PhD in Informatics and Computing.
Position Summary
UAEU is inviting applications for faculty positions in all ranks specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Informatics. Candidates with strong research backgrounds are sought, particularly those focusing on the theoretical foundations and practical applications of AI/ML and Data Sciences in diverse sectors such as Smart Health Systems, Cloud Computing, Business Intelligence, and Decision Support Systems. Faculty members will be expected to enhance existing research initiatives and contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching.
Qualifications
- PhD in computer science, information science, or closely related fields from an accredited university.
- A strong publication record in respected international journals and conferences.
- Proven experience in grant writing and securing external funding.
- Excellence in teaching and mentoring at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and academic programs.
