Roles and Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling Systems (Maximo)

  • Spearhead the comprehensive setup, configuration, and enhancement of Maximo as the site's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for Facilities. This includes managing work order workflows, preventive maintenance structures, job plans, inventory integration, and reporting dashboards.
  • Guarantee the accuracy of system data and utilize Maximo to generate meaningful maintenance metrics and KPIs that facilitate performance discussions and informed decision-making.

  • Provide training and coaching to technicians, supervisors, and engineers on the effective utilization of Maximo for work execution, feedback collection, and compliance adherence.

Asset Maintenance Strategy & Tactics

  • Assist the Facilities team in formulating and refining asset maintenance plans, selecting appropriate maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, condition-based, run-to-failure) based on asset criticality and risk assessments.
  • Employ Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA/FMECA) methodologies to identify potential failure modes, evaluate risks, and drive improvements in maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure that corrective and preventive maintenance activities are planned with adequate resources and necessary downtime arranged.
  • Create and maintain an annual preventive maintenance lookahead schedule to facilitate effective resource planning throughout the year.

Lean & Continuous Improvement

  • Promote Lean principles within the maintenance planning function by eliminating waste in planning processes, reducing non-value-added activities, and establishing standard work procedures.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing sustainment of 5S principles in maintenance workshops, storage areas, and work zones.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement projects aimed at boosting equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and enhancing maintenance efficiency.

Digitisation of Maintenance Activities

  • Drive the transition of maintenance workflows from paper-based systems to digital formats for work orders, inspections, and compliance records.
  • Utilize technology, including mobile CMMS, IoT sensors, and digital checklists, to improve data collection, real-time monitoring, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Generate and present weekly/monthly Facilities KPIs, leveraging Maximo data to guide performance discussions and improvement initiatives.

General Duties

  • Support the execution of all strategic initiatives related to Facilities engineering and plant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements during the procurement and installation of new Facilities equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members, fostering strong teamwork to meet daily operational needs.
  • Liaise with project teams to update equipment and system information as required.
  • All employees are accountable for minimizing the Environmental and Health & Safety impact of their work.
