Job description
About the company
CDC Data Centres, founded in 2007, operates sovereign, secure and world-class data centre facilities across Australia and New Zealand. With its head office in Canberra and sites across the ACT, NSW, VIC and New Zealand, the business delivers secure data centre environments for co-location, containerised and hyperscale compute workloads, all linked by high-speed carrier-grade networks.
The organisation places strong emphasis on inclusion, diversity and a workplace where different experiences help create better outcomes for employees, customers and the community. Its goal is to build and grow an outstanding data centre team that supports security, reliability, connectivity and sustainability.
Role overview
This is a full-time cleaning position based in Fyshwick, Canberra, with work scheduled Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The role sits within a collaborative team and includes hands-on training, free parking and no weekend or after-hours shifts.
Facilities Cleaners are essential to keeping CDC sites looking professional inside and out, while also helping the wider team maintain a safe, secure and smooth-running facility. The role is well suited to someone seeking a steady daytime roster instead of shift work, casual work or night work.
Key duties
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation across the data centre site.
- Carry out regular site checks and promptly flag any faults or defects found.
- Complete routine office upkeep tasks, including bin emptying, vacuuming and replenishing supplies.
- Look after bathroom cleaning standards, such as mopping, replacing paper towels and toilet rolls, and keeping the area hygienic.
- Work with the operations team, communicate with contractors for routine maintenance, report incidents and contribute to HSE meetings to support a safe working environment.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is dependable, experienced and comfortable working in a large, highly secure environment. Previous work in commercial cleaning, aged care, housekeeping or hospitality would be relevant.
Applicants must also complete a health assessment as part of the workplace health and safety process. A general health check will be arranged, and the outcome will be shared with the hiring team so the role can be supported appropriately.
