Job description

About Wynn Al Marjan Island

Wynn Al Marjan Island is preparing to open in the UAE in Spring 2027. It is being developed as a premium beachfront destination for guests looking to enjoy both leisure and entertainment. The resort, situated less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, a nightclub, and a five-star spa. The property is currently under construction on an island overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

About the Role

The resort is looking for an Experienced Host to support Theatre Operations. This position plays an important part in shaping the audience experience, especially around immersive, interactive, and guest-facing elements of the production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve guest involvement by supporting themed and interactive parts of the performance.
  • Stay ahead of guest needs and step in early to make the experience smooth and comfortable.
  • Act as a contact point for interactive audience sections, giving guests clear direction and communication.
  • Work closely with creative and front-of-house teams to preserve the quality of immersive experiences throughout the guest journey.
  • Support audience participation and help guests understand how they are expected to take part.
  • Observe guest responses and share observations with management to help refine immersive features.
  • Welcome audience members and respond to questions in a professional manner.
  • Guide guests to their seats, restrooms, and concession areas.
  • Deliver high-quality service to all patrons, including VIP and access guests.
  • Check tickets efficiently, whether they are printed or digital.
  • Manage late arrivals by directing them to the correct entry points at the right time.
  • Watch audience behaviour and escalate any disturbances to supervisors, management, or security.
  • Support patrons who have mobility, hearing, or other access requirements.
  • Hand out and collect hearing devices and other assistance materials when needed.
  • At times, work as an Access Host, taking full responsibility for the care and service of access patrons and their service animals.

About You

The ideal candidate brings theatre or hospitality experience, a strong guest-service mindset, and the ability to stay composed in a busy environment. You should be confident communicating with guests, adaptable in your approach, and attentive to detail in a venue-focused setting.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Preference for candidates with at least 2 years of experience as a Theatre Experience Host or in hospitality service.
  • Helpful familiarity with West End, Broadway, or similar theatre venues and performance schedules.
  • Basic first aid training is optional and can be arranged.
  • Ability to manage staff and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Warm, welcoming, and professional manner.
  • Strong spoken communication skills.
  • Calm decision-making and quick problem-solving under pressure.
  • Careful attention to detail and pride in maintaining venue presentation.
  • Team-oriented attitude with flexibility.

Benefits

The role offers an attractive salary in AED, the UAE local currency, along with an excellent leave policy, healthcare coverage, incentive programs, and additional employee benefits.
