Position Overview
Climate Stack is looking for a seasoned Executive Vice President to join the top leadership team in Mexico City. This is a high-impact full-time role reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors, with responsibility for shaping strategy, improving operational performance, and supporting the organization’s long-term expansion in domestic and international markets.
The role calls for an executive with at least 15 years of senior leadership and management experience, along with a strong history of guiding large teams and producing measurable outcomes in complex, competitive environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside the CEO and Board to define the company’s strategic direction, corporate priorities, and long-term growth plan.
- Provide executive-level oversight across operations, business development, finance, corporate strategy, technology, investments, and overall performance.
- Advance revenue growth, profitability, operating efficiency, and market expansion efforts.
- Ensure corporate initiatives are implemented effectively and aligned across leadership, business units, and operational teams.
- Assess new business opportunities, partnerships, acquisitions, joint ventures, and expansion prospects.
- Track KPIs and organizational metrics to confirm financial and operational goals are being achieved.
- Support budgeting, capital planning, resource allocation, and investment prioritization.
- Represent the organization in senior-level discussions with investors, banks, government bodies, regulators, clients, partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Guide the organization through transformation, restructuring, rapid growth, mergers and acquisitions, and international expansion.
- Establish strong governance, compliance, risk management, and corporate responsibility practices.
- Coach and develop senior executives and department heads while promoting accountability, collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Maintain clear communication and alignment among executive leadership, shareholders, and the Board.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management, Engineering, Law, International Business, or a related field.
- MBA, master’s degree, executive leadership certification, or another advanced professional qualification is strongly preferred.
- At least 15 years of professional leadership and management experience in medium to large organizations.
- At least 10 years of executive-level leadership experience in roles such as EVP, Managing Director, COO, CEO, CCO, CSO, General Manager, or a similar senior position.
- Proven ability to lead large teams, oversee complex operations, and deliver steady organizational growth.
- Strong knowledge of governance, strategic planning, financial management, business development, leadership, and risk management.
- Ability to manage multiple business functions and coordinate cross-functional executive teams.
- Experience working with boards, investors, shareholders, financial institutions, and strategic stakeholders.
- Excellent skills in leadership, communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and decision-making.
- Strong commercial judgment and the ability to operate effectively in changing domestic and global markets.
- English fluency is mandatory; professional Spanish proficiency is highly desirable.
- Prior board-level exposure and executive committee experience are strongly preferred.
Preferred Background
- Experience in financial services, fintech, investment management, technology, digital finance, professional services, infrastructure, manufacturing, international trade, or multinational organizations.
- Experience managing multi-country operations and cross-border expansion initiatives.
- Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, strategic partnerships, fundraising, and investor relations.
- Experience leading organizations through major growth, change, or market expansion.
Work Details
This is a full-time onsite position based in Mexico City, Mexico. The role reports directly to the CEO and Board of Directors and is intended for a senior executive who can help guide company-wide performance and strategic execution.
