This leader connects strategy with execution, making sure technology platforms, infrastructure, delivery practices, governance, and operational workflows support the company’s business goals in a secure, scalable, and efficient way.

This position acts as the operational link between technology vision and execution, helping drive governance, digital modernization, collaboration across teams, and steady business growth through reliable technology operations.

Technology Operations Strategy and Delivery

Build and execute operating plans for technology that are aligned with the organization’s wider business and technology objectives. Convert roadmaps into practical delivery plans with clear, measurable results. Strengthen operational performance across software delivery, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud environments, and IT services. Put governance structures in place to support consistent and effective delivery of technology initiatives.

Program, Portfolio, and Reporting Leadership

Lead the planning and delivery of enterprise technology programs and projects. Manage technology portfolios, budgets, priorities, and resources so the business receives maximum value from investments. Keep initiatives on schedule, within scope, and inside budget. Create executive-level dashboards and reporting tools that provide clear visibility into technology performance.

Process Improvement and Governance

Define, document, and standardize operating procedures, policies, and controls for technology teams. Apply proven practices across SDLC, DevOps, ITSM, Agile, and project management. Improve efficiency through automation and workflow optimization. Maintain alignment with internal controls, governance expectations, and regulatory obligations.

Infrastructure, Cloud, and Service Reliability

Oversee enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, and support services. Ensure systems remain available, scalable, dependable, and high-performing. Improve service delivery through monitoring, incident handling, and root-cause resolution. Guide business continuity, disaster recovery, and broader operational resilience efforts.

Cybersecurity, Risk, and Compliance

Work closely with cybersecurity teams to protect systems, applications, and data. Identify operational technology risks and put mitigation measures in place. Ensure adherence to applicable regulations, security frameworks, and corporate governance standards. Establish clear escalation and response processes for critical technology operations issues.

Metrics, Analytics, and Continuous Improvement

Set and track KPIs, SLAs, and other operational performance measures for technology. Use analytics to identify efficiency opportunities and support better decision-making. Build reporting structures for senior leadership. Lead ongoing improvement efforts based on operational data and business priorities.

Cross-Functional Partnership

Collaborate with product, engineering, IT, finance, HR, and business leaders to keep technology operations aligned with organizational priorities. Translate between technical and non-technical audiences to support clear communication. Contribute to enterprise transformation programs and business growth initiatives enabled by technology. Coordinate effectively across distributed and global technology teams.

Leadership and Team Development

Recruit, guide, and develop high-performing technology operations teams. Strengthen leadership pipelines through succession planning and talent development. Encourage accountability, innovation, operational rigor, and a mindset of continuous improvement. Support engagement and collaboration across the technology organization.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required. A master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

This position typically requires at least 18 years of experience in technology operations, IT management, engineering operations, or a related area, including 8 or more years in senior leadership roles. Candidates should have a strong record of managing large-scale technology organizations, digital transformation initiatives, and enterprise operations.
