Role Overview
The Executive Director of Supply Chain will oversee an integrated, enterprise-wide supply chain and logistics function spanning both acute and non-acute operations, including Jupiter Medical Center Physician Group. This role is focused on improving efficiency, strengthening service excellence, and ensuring supply chain policies, procedures, and team development practices support operational performance, patient care, and future growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the organization’s end-to-end distribution strategy, covering inventory control, replenishment, and logistics across Jupiter Medical Center.
- Standardize supply delivery models and bring legacy workflows into a unified system-wide operating model.
- Strengthen inventory practices to cut waste, improve availability, and build supply resilience.
- Introduce performance measures and service recovery methods to improve execution.
- Monitor supply chain developments within healthcare and other sectors to anticipate needs and adopt effective practices.
- Create and implement a distribution strategy that can scale with organizational growth.
- Work with executive leaders so supply chain plans align with clinical and financial goals.
- Support GPO selection and integration to ensure smooth transitions without disrupting patient care.
- Guide a strong Value Analysis Team and work with clinical leaders on product standardization, utilization, and contract adherence.
- Partner with clinical, operational, IT, and finance teams to uncover cost-saving opportunities.
- Use data and benchmarking to identify improvements in cost, quality, and efficiency.
- Measure, track, and report performance results and savings efforts to leadership.
- Apply best practices to continuously improve distribution and logistics execution.
- Build, coach, and lead a high-performing supply chain leadership team.
- Create a collaborative, service-focused culture centered on operational excellence.
- Support workforce planning, talent growth, and retention.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, ethical sourcing expectations, and internal policies.
- Oversee the profit and loss performance of facility supply chain operations.
- Manage disaster supply readiness and related processes for facility preparedness.
- Use and model effective management approaches while supporting staff decision-making in complex situations.
- Oversee development of service policies, procedures, and operating guidelines, and coordinate with other division services as needed.
- Ensure information shared with staff is monitored for effectiveness and updated when necessary.
- Enforce hospital and personnel policies and procedures.
- Serve on, and lead when required, hospital and Patient Care Services committees, teams, and work groups.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a healthcare-related field is required.
- A master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in supply chain or logistics, including 3 years in a managerial capacity, is required.
- Leadership experience overseeing distribution centers and logistics operations is required.
- The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker who can adapt systems and processes as the organization expands.
- Strong analytical judgment and data-informed decision-making are essential.
- A proven record of driving standardization, cost reduction, and performance improvement in a complex environment is expected.

Physical Requirements
This position may require extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and bending. The work environment can be demanding and requires strong attention to detail, alertness, and self-direction. The role also requires the ability to push or pull up to 40 lbs and lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
Threshold Requirements
- These requirements must be completed annually.
- Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service requirements, health requirements, and attendance at new employee orientation are required.
- Participation in the TB/PPD Surveillance Program is required.
- Maintaining all required professional licenses and/or certifications is required.
