About the Role

The Executive Director of Operations holds a pivotal senior leadership position responsible for managing and enhancing the organization's daily operational activities. This role focuses on boosting efficiency, productivity, profitability, and supporting the company's strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise everyday operations across multiple departments and units.
  • Formulate and execute operational strategies, policies, and processes to meet organizational targets.
  • Promote operational excellence by identifying and implementing improvements that enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators and metrics to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Partner with executive leadership to plan and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee operational budgeting, forecasting, and effective allocation of resources.
  • Ensure adherence to company guidelines, industry standards, and quality requirements.
  • Detect operational risks and create strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity.
  • Lead change management and process optimization efforts throughout the organization.
  • Coordinate teams across functions to guarantee smooth operational workflows.
  • Manage workforce planning, performance management, and talent development within operational divisions.
  • Evaluate and adopt technological solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Generate operational reports and deliver updates to senior leadership and board members.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Finance, Engineering, or related disciplines; MBA is advantageous.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in operations management, including roles with senior leadership responsibilities.
  • Demonstrable success in managing large-scale operations and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business operations, process enhancement, and organizational growth.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and oversight of performance metrics.
  • Exceptional skills in leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and adept problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to manage numerous priorities effectively in dynamic environments.

Preferred Expertise

  • Background in strategic planning and organizational transformation.
  • Familiarity with operational excellence frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in project management and change leadership.
  • Experience with enterprise-level systems and automating business processes.
  • Ability to inspire and lead diverse teams spread across multiple locations.
