Job description
The opportunity
This role sits close to the leadership of News & Content and is designed to keep the function running smoothly, accurately and with strong momentum. As the Executive Business Support Manager, you will support the Chief News & Content Officer and the wider leadership group, helping ensure work is delivered with purpose, speed and accountability.
The position has broad responsibility across team operations, governance, compliance, financial oversight and coordination across functions. It is central to enabling a connected one-team way of working and keeping activity aligned with TVNZ’s FY30 Strategy and Audience Strategy.
What the role involves
You will focus on strategic and operational support, organising the leadership team, handling governance and compliance requirements, managing financial processes, and leading two direct reports.

- Background supporting senior executives and leadership teams in demanding, ever-changing organisations
- Strong experience in business and operational support
- Solid knowledge of budgeting, cost control and finance processes
- Experience coordinating travel arrangements
- Proven people leadership capability
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations at once
- Composed, adaptable and resilient when working under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and recommend practical solutions
- Collaborative working style with the ability to build alignment across teams
- High level of discretion and a strong respect for confidentiality, including commercially sensitive information
