Job description
Role overview
This is a rare executive support opportunity for an assistant who is already experienced in working at the highest levels of private service. The Principal is an ultra-high-net-worth individual with a worldwide business portfolio and a lifestyle shaped by flexibility, discretion, and last-minute change. This position is not a conventional EA assignment and will suit someone who is comfortable operating in an environment where priorities shift quickly and the schedule is often decided on the fly.
The Principal continues to meet, travel, and engage with people and places on their own terms, which means the role is equally dynamic. Plans may change by the hour, and travel could involve anything from an urgent same-day departure to a multi-day trip arranged with complex logistics. This is a lifestyle support role, not simply a desk-based executive assistant position.
Working style and environment
You will be part of a broader lifestyle support team, although that team is still being built. In the early phase, you will work closely with the Private Chief of Staff to coordinate and manage the many moving parts of the Principal’s life. The role calls for someone who can act quickly, make sensible decisions without waiting for instructions, and draw on a strong network of trusted contacts when problems need solving.
The position is based in New York, NY and is open to candidates located elsewhere in the United States. International candidates cannot be considered because sponsorship is not available and work authorization requirements must be met.
What the role involves
The scope of day-to-day support is intentionally fluid and may cover a wide range of personal, travel, and lifestyle-related needs. The right person will be comfortable stepping into an undefined environment, responding fast to sudden requests, and helping maintain seamless support across the Principal’s changing commitments.
Experience required
This opportunity is intended for someone who has already operated in a similar world. You should have previously supported an individual with a net worth in the billions and understand the pace, expectations, and discretion required in that setting. This is not a learning-on-the-job role, and there will not be time to research answers or build experience from scratch.
Compensation
The listed compensation starts at $250,000+ annually. Candidates with exceptionally strong and relevant experience may be open to a different discussion.
Eligibility
Applicants must already be based in the United States. Candidates outside the US are not eligible for consideration.
Additional notes
This role may involve frequent and unpredictable travel, though the exact frequency, duration, and destination cannot be predetermined. If you thrive in a fast-moving, high-discretion environment and are comfortable with uncertainty, this could be an exceptional fit.
