Job description

The Company

Levyl is working with a respected Australian consultancy to hire an outstanding Executive Assistant for a 12-month maternity cover contract. The organisation operates nationally and is growing internationally, with a strong track record in delivering highly complex projects and a culture that is collaborative and people-focused.

This position has high visibility and places you at the heart of the Executive Leadership Team. You will help keep executive operations running efficiently while also coordinating governance work that supports the wider business. Because the role combines executive support with governance coordination, it offers real variety, independence and the chance to contribute well beyond a standard EA remit.

The Leaders

Your main focus will be supporting the Managing Director, while also assisting the CEO and the wider Executive Leadership Team. The MD is dynamic, entrepreneurial and idea-led. His schedule involves frequent travel and a fast-moving environment where priorities can change during the day. He needs an EA who can stay one step ahead, adjust priorities with confidence and keep everything moving smoothly when plans shift.

The Opportunity

In close partnership with the Managing Director, CEO and executive leaders, you will act as the key coordination point for executive operations, governance activity and leadership initiatives. The work will be varied and changing from day to day. One day may involve Board papers and minutes; another may call for travel coordination, executive presentations or support with strategic business projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver senior-level executive assistance to the Managing Director, with additional support for the CEO, CFO and CPO
  • Take ownership of complex diaries, meetings, travel arrangements and shifting executive priorities
  • Draft presentations, reports and confidential business correspondence
  • Organise Board and Executive meetings, including agendas, board packs, minutes and action tracking
  • Assist with governance meetings and leadership forums across the organisation
  • Coordinate executive functions, leadership off-sites and travel arrangements
  • Support leadership initiatives, including Sustainability and Social Impact programs
  • Develop strong working relationships with senior stakeholders, clients and Board members

About You

You will be a trusted business partner who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing competing demands from several senior leaders. You take pride in becoming a valued and indispensable member of the Executive Leadership Team.

You should also bring previous experience supporting senior executives, ideally in a complex corporate or professional services setting, along with strong governance coordination capability. You will be confident managing expectations, challenging constructively when needed and building credibility with senior stakeholders. Excellent written and spoken communication skills, sound judgement, a professional approach and discretion are essential. A genuine interest in contributing beyond traditional EA work — including governance, leadership initiatives and wider business projects — is also important.

The Process

The search begins immediately, and applications will be reviewed as they are received. Shortlisted candidates will first meet with Levyl, then progress to interviews with the People & Culture leadership team and ultimately with the Managing Director and CEO.

A full handover is planned, and the client would ideally like someone who can start in early August. For confidential enquiries, contact Jessica Duncan at jessica@levyl.com.au.

Additional Information

Levyl says it supports diverse, equitable and inclusive recruitment practices and is committed to responding to every applicant. Hiring decisions are made based on skills, experience, personal attributes and motivators. If you are invited to interview, an interview accommodation checklist will be provided so you can share any support you need to perform at your best.
