Role overview

Kaipara District Council is looking for a capable Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to two General Managers. Based in Mangawhai or Dargaville, with work-from-home options available, this position sits close to the centre of organisational activity and requires someone who can stay ahead of priorities, manage sensitive matters carefully, and bring order to a busy environment.

Key duties

  • Run complex calendars, schedule meetings, and balance overlapping priorities.
  • Manage email inboxes and prepare professional correspondence.
  • Create presentations, reports, and other business documents.
  • Set agendas, record meeting minutes, and track actions through to completion.
  • Support responses to complaints and enquiries with accurate, thoughtful information.
  • Arrange travel, events, and associated logistics.
  • Assist with finance-related administration, including budget tracking and reporting.
