This opportunity is with a growing small-to-medium construction business that delivers projects for healthcare, education, and commercial clients.

About the role

The business is seeking an experienced Estimator to support ongoing growth. The position is broad and practical, covering the full commercial journey from preparing pricing and securing work through to cost control, variations, and closing final accounts on active projects. Projects are delivered across the UK, so site travel will be part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Build accurate estimates, take-offs, and tender submissions.
• Track project expenditure, budgets, and overall commercial performance.
• Manage variations, interim valuations, and final account preparation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and procurement support.
• Assist projects from the tender stage through to completion.
• Attend site visits and meet with clients as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working as an Estimator.

Required skills

• Sound commercial judgement and strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of JCT contracts.
• Background in healthcare, education, and commercial projects.
• Ability to juggle several projects at the same time.
• Strong command of Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid full UK driving licence.
