Overview
Ideagen is hiring an Enterprise Business Development Representative to join its energetic global SaaS sales function in Melbourne. The role is focused on expanding business through prospecting, identifying new opportunities, qualifying leads, and starting conversations with senior decision-makers. It is designed for someone who wants a clear growth path in sales within an international technology company.
Location: Melbourne, Australia. Function: Sales. Department: BDR. Working pattern: Hybrid, with three days each week in the Melbourne office. Salary: to be discussed in a later stage. Benefits are available through Ideagen.
Role summary
This position supports revenue growth by creating a strong sales pipeline, engaging potential customers, and helping move prospects through the early stages of the sales journey. The role requires confident outreach, thoughtful qualification, and consistent activity tracking in CRM systems.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential customers and business opportunities.
- Reach out to prospects through calls, email, and networking to generate and qualify leads.
- Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective clients.
- Speak with senior stakeholders to understand their business needs and present relevant solutions.
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to strengthen lead-generation efforts.
- Work toward monthly and quarterly individual and team performance goals.
- Keep sales activity and customer interactions accurately updated in the CRM.
Skills and experience
- Background in sales, business development, or another client-facing position is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build professional relationships with different types of stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and focused on results.
- Comfortable working in an environment with targets and performance expectations.
- Working knowledge of CRM platforms and Microsoft Office tools.
