Role Summary

The organization is seeking a driven Enterprise Account Executive who can build trusted relationships with decision makers and promote the value of secure, dependable software. The ideal candidate should understand the market well, work closely with prospects and customers, and help communicate how Chainguard’s offerings address critical business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and run sales plans for the assigned region or account territory.
  • Clearly present the product’s value proposition and differentiators to prospects and customers.
  • Own pipeline performance and work toward consistently achieving and surpassing quota.
  • Use inbound and outbound channels to identify, develop, and manage sales opportunities.
  • Track deals and business activity in CRM systems and related sales tools.
  • Partner across product, support, and sales engineering to improve the end-to-end sales process.
  • Stay informed about the competitive landscape, including rival companies and their offerings.

Candidate Profile

  • 8+ years of experience selling SaaS or security solutions.
  • Strong exposure to one or more relevant domains such as compute platforms, DevOps tooling, CI/CD platforms, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Proven history of regularly exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to learn products quickly and adapt processes as needed.
  • Highly competitive, self-driven, and motivated to win.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations when required.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic and resourceful approach.

Preferred Background

  • Experience selling SaaS or developer tools.
  • Previous startup environment experience.
  • Strong sales instincts and a solid understanding of the sales process.
  • Technical business awareness with the ability to explain value clearly in a complex, fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to succeed in an agile setting where solutions continue to evolve.
