Job description
About the company
Ben is a benefits platform focused on improving outcomes for employers, employees, brokers, and providers. Its technology brings the wider benefits ecosystem together to help people access the support they need and perform at their best at work and in everyday life.
Role summary
As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will take ownership of a territory and drive qualified interest in Ben to support revenue growth. This is a high-impact sales role for someone who enjoys strategic thinking, problem-solving, and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
What you'll do
- Take responsibility for a closed-won revenue target and build new business in selected industries.
- Create and deliver account plans for priority prospects using market knowledge and industry trends.
- Run consultative, value-led sales conversations that uncover prospect challenges and position the platform accordingly.
- Develop strong relationships with HR leaders, C-suite executives, and other decision-makers at larger organisations.
- Manage the full sales process from first contact through negotiation and final close, then hand over smoothly to implementation for onboarding.
- Partner with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure customer needs are addressed effectively.
- Track employee benefits developments, SaaS trends, and competitor activity to spot opportunities and guide decisions.
What the role requires
- Proven success in a full-cycle closing sales position, with early exposure to software sales.
- Experience selling deals in the $10k-$100k range, typically averaging $20k-$30k.
- An entrepreneurial, consultative mindset that focuses on building solutions with prospects rather than pushing a product.
- A self-directed working style with strong prioritisation skills and a collaborative approach.
- Comfort using sales tools such as CRM systems, prospecting platforms, LinkedIn Navigator, and similar technology.
- Ability to manage a pipeline and consistently deliver revenue targets.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of closing deals successfully.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities with both clients and internal teams.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment with ambiguity and limited structure.
- A proactive, autonomous attitude and the willingness to take ownership of results.
- A team-first mindset with low ego and a collaborative, learning-oriented approach.
Important fit notes
- This role may not suit candidates who prefer a highly structured environment.
- You should be comfortable being accountable for your own outcomes.
- The team expects initiative, adaptability, and comfort with change.
- People who wait for direction or avoid ambiguity are unlikely to thrive here.
Compensation and benefits
- Competitive base pay plus equity.
- Bonus scheme that rewards strong performance.
- £100 per month in personal Ben Balance, increasing by £50 for each year of service up to £250.
- Weekly in-office lunch provided.
- 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell 5 days each year.
- Holiday allowance increases to 30 days from the third year of service.
- Work-from-abroad scheme for travel, extended stays, or visiting family and friends.
- Enhanced parental leave and a workplace nursery scheme to help with childcare costs.
- Private medical insurance.
- Funded life assurance with the option to increase coverage, plus an annual health check.
- Mental health support and professional coaching through a specialist provider.
Culture and inclusion
Ben describes itself as a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace. Applications are welcome from all candidates, and reasonable adjustments can be requested during the hiring process.
