Job description

Role overview

This remote contractor position focuses on reviewing and improving AI-generated English responses, as well as creating expert-level language content when required. The work is paid on an hourly basis and is designed for specialists who can assess answer quality, reasoning, and step-by-step edits with accuracy and precision.

You will examine outputs for correctness, clarity, and alignment with the prompt, then identify issues in logic, meaning, method, or conceptual understanding. The role also involves fact-checking where needed, drafting strong explanations, and producing model revisions that demonstrate the proper approach. You may also compare multiple AI responses and judge them based on both correctness and reasoning quality.

The company is an AI data services provider that supports training data needs for major AI companies and foundation-model labs. Your language expertise contributes directly to improving the quality, accuracy, and naturalness of AI systems. Please note that there is no active project attached to this role at the moment; however, qualified candidates may be contacted first when relevant work becomes available and may gain access to future projects through the expert network.

What the role involves

  • Write detailed prompts on different topics and craft responses that help train AI models.
  • Review and score AI outputs to improve fluency, correctness, and relevance to context.
  • Check models for factual issues, inaccuracies, and potential bias across different use cases.

Profile and skills needed

Applicants should bring advanced English expertise, excellent editorial judgment, and the ability to explain corrections clearly in writing. Strong knowledge of grammar, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse structure, and style consistency is essential. You should also be comfortable working independently in a remote contractor setup and maintaining dependable output quality across time zones.

Additional requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, English, Translation/Localization, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • Native-level or C2 English is preferred, with a minimum of C1 proficiency required.
  • Professional fluency in at least one additional language is strongly preferred.
  • High attention to detail to catch meaning shifts, ambiguity, inconsistencies, and subtle language errors.
  • Ability to apply style guides and keep tone, terminology, punctuation, and capitalization consistent.
  • Prior work in AI data training, annotation, editorial QA, localization QA, or copyediting is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Perplexity, Gemini, ChatGPT, and similar platforms.

Employment notes

This opportunity is structured as an hourly remote contract role. The listing does not specify a fixed project start date or an immediate assignment, and candidates should be aware that work may be offered later through future opportunities.
