Role overview
Pfizer is hiring an Engineering Maintenance Technician in Dublin to support maintenance, reliability, and engineering activities across utilities, buildings, and both production and non-production equipment. The role is central to keeping critical systems running safely and efficiently so medicines can be delivered to patients without delay.
What you will do
In this position, you will work closely with the engineering function to plan, coordinate, and complete maintenance and reliability tasks. You will also help with engineering studies, equipment changes, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support completion of assigned projects and manage your own workload to meet agreed timelines.
- Assist in defining scope, execution plans, and engineering studies for equipment installation and modification work.
- Provide operational support when required.
- Review preventive and corrective maintenance work orders and assess equipment history.
- Handle technical documentation and support document reviews.
- Help ensure calibration activities remain compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices and aseptic standards.
- Take part in root cause failure investigations and contribute to equipment reliability plans.
- Work with Production and Quality leaders on troubleshooting and scheduling.
- Support a safe workplace by following site procedures, carrying out safety checks, and encouraging a strong safety culture.
- Join investigation teams for exemption reports, quality assurance reports, and laboratory investigations, and help coordinate timely closure with Quality, Operations, and Compliance teams.
- Contribute to the preventive maintenance program and share best practices with site sustaining engineering teams.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the Maintenance Management database system (EAMS).
What you need to bring
- A diploma or degree in an engineering or technical field, or a trade qualification in electrical or mechanical work.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with root cause failure analysis, preventive/predictive maintenance optimization, and/or failure modes and effects analysis.
- Strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GxP).
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Desirable exposure to commissioning, qualification, start-up, and production support activities.
- Experience using engineering maintenance management systems such as EAMS.
- Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and logic diagrams.
- Desirable experience with automation systems, PLC diagnostics, and instrumentation.
- Good computer literacy, documentation skills, and working knowledge of MS Excel.

Working arrangement
This is a fully onsite role in Dublin, and shift work is required to support 24/7 operations.
