Role overview
A top-tier national law firm is looking to hire an Employment Solicitor with between NQ and 5 years PQE to join its Birmingham employment practice. This is a strong opportunity to work with experienced specialists and advise a varied client portfolio, including small and medium-sized businesses as well as major UK and international organisations, on a wide range of employment law issues.
The role offers a mix of contentious and non-contentious work, with the chance to develop within a collaborative team environment that provides structured training, ongoing development, and visible progression routes.
What you will do
- Advise employer clients on employment law matters such as disciplinary issues, grievances, performance concerns, redundancies, and restructure exercises.
- Handle Employment Tribunal matters from the initial stage through to final resolution.
- Prepare and review employment contracts, service agreements, workplace policies, and related procedures.
- Provide guidance on TUPE, business reorganisations, and wider corporate support work.
- Assist senior lawyers with complex disputes and strategic advisory assignments.
- Deliver clear, practical, and commercially focused advice aligned to client business needs.
- Develop client relationships and support business development activity.
What the employer is looking for
- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with experience ranging from newly qualified to 5 years PQE.
- Prior employment law experience gained in a respected law firm.
