Role overview
Midlands ETS has spent more than 14 years supporting young people aged 16 to 25. Through its provision, it delivers apprenticeships across the Midlands and South of England, along with a Study Programme. This position will be based at the Chelmsley Wood centre.
The organisation is seeking an Employment Engagement Officer who is enthusiastic about helping young people move into apprenticeships and employment. The role suits someone who enjoys building new connections, working with people, and contributing as part of a team. You will also step in as a cover tutor when required and help Study Programme learners secure suitable work placements.
What the role involves
- Building and maintaining relationships that help grow apprenticeship vacancies and work experience opportunities for young people.
- Using networking, presentations, and social media to promote opportunities and engage employers.
- Representing Barnardo's ETS confidently at events and meetings.
- Ensuring records and paperwork are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
- Supporting tutors by covering teaching duties when needed.
- Helping learners on the Study Programme find appropriate work placements.
