About the Role
McElroys is seeking an intermediate solicitor or associate with 4 to 8 years of post-qualification experience in civil litigation, ideally with an employment law focus, to join a close-knit team in Auckland.
In this position, you will work closely with partners and have the chance to strengthen your advocacy, technical capability, and client relationship skills while progressing to the next stage of your legal career.
Key Work Areas
- Building and maintaining effective client relationships
- Reviewing information to identify legal issues and work toward practical solutions
- Drafting clear, high-quality advice, correspondence, reporting, and court documentation
- Advocating for clients in alternative dispute resolution forums, tribunals, and courts
- Contributing actively to negotiations to secure sensible and commercially sound outcomes
- Running matters from start to finish with a focus on quality and timeliness
- Working directly with partners on a range of litigation matters
- Helping guide and support junior colleagues while developing your own leadership style
Experience and Fit
