Job description
Role overview
The Electronic Security System Support Specialist is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and monitoring digital security technologies used across the organization. This includes surveillance cameras, video conferencing equipment, duress systems, access control tools, and related electronic security solutions.
Minimum requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a qualification considered equivalent.
- At least 2 years of specialized experience in security systems, electronic monitoring, and system installation.
- Practical knowledge of electronic security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, and detection/screening equipment.
- Computer network administration skills strong enough to install and set up hardware and software, diagnose hardware/software/network issues, and manage user passwords and access permissions.
