Role Overview

El Seif Operation and Maintenance is looking for a Low Voltage Electrical Technician to join its electrical team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on the upkeep, fault-finding, repair, installation, and testing of low-voltage electrical systems operating below 500V. These systems include wiring networks, distribution boards, LV switchgear, motor starter panels, control panels, lighting circuits, and related electrical equipment.

This opportunity suits a Saudi electrical technician with practical experience in building services, operations and maintenance, facility management, electrical troubleshooting, and working safely on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify faults in low-voltage wiring systems and carry out repairs, maintenance, and tracing work.
  • Service and restore lighting fixtures, street lighting, wiring arrangements, and other LV electrical components.
  • Handle LV panels, control boards, switchgear, motor starter assemblies, and distribution panels.
  • Interpret electrical drawings and use them during maintenance and installation tasks.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities for low-voltage installations.
  • Operate electrical hand tools, power tools, and test equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Inspect wiring, connections, panels, switchgear, and electrical devices to ensure proper condition and performance.
  • Work according to electrical safety procedures and consistently use the required PPE.
  • Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance across facility management assignments.
  • Maintain good punctuality, discipline, and communication with supervisors and fellow team members.

Required Qualifications

  • A recognized diploma in Electrical Technology, Electricity, or a similar technical discipline is needed.
  • Candidates with a 3-year technical diploma must have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on exposure to low-voltage systems, wiring, panels, switchgear, and facility maintenance is required.
  • The ability to read and apply electrical drawings is essential.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices and PPE requirements is necessary.
  • Basic English communication skills are expected.
  • Applicants should be able to follow instructions, work under supervision, and manage several maintenance tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work in facility management, O&M, or building maintenance will be an advantage.
  • Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems, lighting, control panels, and distribution boards is preferred.
  • Ability to clear an electrical wiring principles or trade test is desirable.
  • Good organizational ability and basic computer literacy are helpful.
  • Willingness to assist colleagues and share technical knowledge when required is valued.
