Job description

Role overview

Miss Daisy's Nursery Schools is hiring qualified early years educators for its Hyde Park nursery. The position is based in London and follows an on-site working pattern, with hours from 8:00am to 1:00pm.

About the nursery

Miss Daisy's is known for creating strong early foundations for children through a caring, creative, and inspiring team. It is part of Little Dukes, the early years division of the Dukes Education Group, which operates independent nurseries in London, Richmond upon Thames, Brighton & Hove, and Worthing. The wider group aims to help children build the foundations for an extraordinary life through education.

Main duties

The role includes planning age-appropriate activities under EYFS, creating a secure and nurturing environment, monitoring development, working closely with parents and colleagues, keeping progress records up to date, and maintaining a tidy, organised nursery space. The job also requires adherence to health and safety standards at all times.

Candidate profile

Applicants should bring the right qualification, experience, and personal approach for early years work. The position calls for someone who is patient, empathetic, enthusiastic about working with children, comfortable in a team, and familiar with child development as well as childcare regulations such as safeguarding.

Benefits

The nursery offers a range of workplace advantages including staff events, a Cycle 2 Work scheme, childcare discount, paid sick leave, company pension, support for learning and development, and a friendly, encouraging team environment. Compensation is described as competitive and linked to experience and qualifications.

Safeguarding and recruitment

Little Dukes is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and all employees are expected to share that commitment. The hiring process includes an application form, an interview, reference checks, and an Enhanced DBS check.

  • Track and review children’s progress, noting any concerns
  • Work with families and colleagues to meet each child’s needs
