Role overview

We are hiring an E-commerce Strategy & Operations Lead to fully own our marketplace and core online retail business across Amazon and other major platforms such as Kaufland, OTTO, ManoMano, Leroy Merlin, and similar channels. This position blends long-term strategy, ownership of commercial results, and day-to-day execution leadership. You will be responsible for accelerating growth, improving profitability, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple marketplaces while leading a team.

In this role, you will act as a central force behind our digital commerce business by defining the direction, scaling execution, and carrying full P&L responsibility across channels.

Strategy & growth leadership

  • Create and roll out a 12 to 24 month growth plan centered on market share, margin, and ACOS/ROI improvement.
  • Spot expansion opportunities across marketplaces and key retail channels, including less obvious or highly scalable ones.
  • Set goals by marketplace, category, and SKU, then ensure disciplined delivery through weekly business reviews.
  • Own the commercial math behind the business, including pricing, promotions, discounts, logistics, VAT, and marketplace fees.

Category & assortment management

  • Shape and run the assortment strategy, covering SKU structure, segmentation, and price-point architecture.
  • Define how products should be positioned against competitors and maintain price parity as well as basket competitiveness.
  • Continuously refine the product mix based on results, seasonality, and market demand.

Operational excellence & supply chain

  • Oversee Amazon FBA and FBM operations, along with third-party logistics and warehouse partners.
  • Set and improve the fulfillment approach to support strong availability and conversion rates.
  • Manage inventory planning, stock distribution, replenishment SLAs, and demand forecasting accuracy.
  • Cut operational waste by improving packaging, strengthening logistics flows, and lowering return rates.

Performance marketing & growth execution

  • Run the full marketplace marketing stack, including Amazon Ads, PPC, automated campaigns, and smart bidding.
  • Manage external traffic sources such as Google Ads, Meta, affiliates, and retargeting.
  • Own promotional planning for deals, coupons, events, and marketplace campaigns with direct impact on P&L.

Content, SEO & conversion optimization

  • Increase product discoverability through keyword planning, SEO improvements, A+ content, and creative assets.
  • Improve the entire funnel from impressions to clicks, conversions, and retention.
  • Systematically manage ratings, reviews, and brand reputation across marketplaces.

Analytics, BI & automation

  • Build dashboards covering revenue, margin, market share, inventory, returns, and key performance indicators.
  • Develop forecasting models for demand, seasonality, and price sensitivity.
  • Introduce automation, tools, and BI systems that speed up decisions and reduce manual work.

Partnerships & leadership

  • Handle relationships with Amazon account managers and take part in platform beta programs.
  • Work closely with logistics, finance, production, design, and legal teams.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5 specialists while setting standards, processes, and a strong performance culture.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or Amazon-related roles.
  • Demonstrated ownership of P&L or revenue performance.
  • Background in performance marketing, including PPC, ROAS optimization, and external traffic management.
  • Strong analytical capability with practical experience in BI, dashboards, and forecasting.
  • Experience leading teams hands-on; people management is preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership, and a structured way of working.
