Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Vishakhapatnam for someone who can keep daily cinema operations running smoothly. The Duty Officer - Operations supports shift execution, watches over show timings, coordinates with projection, box office, and F&B teams, and makes sure established procedures and company guidelines are followed.
What the Role Involves
You will help supervise staff on duty, respond to guest questions or concerns, and escalate issues to the appropriate managers when needed. The role also includes monitoring operational performance, maintaining cash and stock controls, assisting with basic finance and reporting activities, and ensuring adherence to safety, security, and hygiene standards. Support for special screenings and events is also part of the job, with the goal of delivering a consistently strong guest experience.
Skills and Qualifications
Success in this role calls for excellent communication and interpersonal ability, strong analytical thinking, and a practical understanding of operations management. You should also have basic finance knowledge for cash handling, reconciliation, and daily reporting. Experience in retail, hospitality, entertainment, or cinema operations is an advantage. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Commerce, or a related discipline is helpful. Candidates should also be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable using standard office and POS systems, while being open to working flexible schedules that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
