Job description

Role overview

This is a senior regional leadership opportunity in Canada focused on expanding investment distribution and improving sales results across a defined territory. The position works closely with financial advisors to deepen relationships, grow revenue, and strengthen market share in a competitive financial services setting.

The role combines strategic territory planning with active field execution. You will partner with internal wholesalers and cross-functional teams to deliver advisor-focused engagement, support business development, and help drive a high-performing, client-centered culture.

What you'll do

  • Set and execute regional sales plans to increase distribution of investment products through financial advisor channels.
  • Work toward ambitious targets for sales, production, and territory growth.
  • Develop new relationships and strengthen existing partnerships with financial advisors and other key stakeholders in the assigned region.
  • Provide market insights, product knowledge, and business-building guidance that helps advisors serve their clients more effectively.
  • Represent investment solutions through advisor meetings, presentations, and educational seminars.
  • Coordinate closely with internal wholesalers, coordinators, and other teams to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Maintain detailed records of advisor activity in CRM systems and manage the territory with consistency and discipline.
  • Exchange best practices, market intelligence, and sales approaches with colleagues and external partners.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong investment sales experience within financial services, along with a track record of growing advisor relationships and revenue.

  • At least 5 years of experience in investment sales or a closely related financial services role.
  • Solid knowledge of capital markets, mutual funds, ETFs, and managed investment platforms.
  • Experience working in regulated investment distribution channels such as MFDA, IIROC, or an equivalent framework.
  • Relevant financial certifications such as IFIC or CSC are preferred.
  • Proven ability in sales planning, territory ownership, and business development.
  • Strong verbal communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working independently in a field-oriented role.
  • Ability to use CRM systems and standard business software effectively.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay package with incentive-based compensation and bonus potential.
  • Full health coverage including medical, dental, vision, and mental health support.
  • Retirement savings support and long-term financial security programs.
  • Flexible work setup with remote flexibility and autonomy in the field.
  • Paid leave, personal time, and wellbeing-oriented benefits.
  • Opportunities for ongoing learning and career growth.
  • An inclusive, collaborative, and growth-minded workplace culture.

Additional information

This role is being shared on behalf of a partner organization, which will handle applications and all subsequent hiring steps. The final selection process, including interviews and assessments, will be managed directly by the employer. The position is based in Canada and is remote with field-based responsibilities.
