Job description
Role overview
In this position, you will support the operational procurement of fresh food, with a particular focus on fruit and vegetables. You will help turn product ideas into reality, keep track of current food trends, and maintain both the assortment and relationships with suppliers. Working closely with your team, you will negotiate with partners and evaluate new products. The role also comes with a strong emphasis on collaboration, open communication, and personal responsibility.
What you will do
- Make sure the right products are available in the stores at the right time, in the right quantity, and in strong fresh quality.
- Plan items on a day-by-day basis while taking seasonal factors into account.
- Review key performance figures and continuously monitor sales movement and stock levels.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal teams, external suppliers, and service providers.
Profile
This role is suited to someone with a completed degree in business administration, economics, logistics, or a commercial apprenticeship combined with relevant work experience. Practical experience in the planning or allocation of traded goods, or in fresh logistics, is important. You should bring assertiveness, confidence in your manner, and strong communication skills. Very good German and good English skills are required.
