Overview

Join Boots UK as a Dispenser located in Ripon, England, where you will be an integral part of the pharmacy team. Your role includes assisting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective pharmacy service delivery. This position is based in-store and requires UK residency and right to work; remote or overseas applicants without valid UK credentials will not be eligible.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions responsibly, involving medicine ordering, accurate labeling, and proper collection procedures while adhering to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare colleagues within the store to manage and support pharmacy service operations.
  • Offer patients advice about medications, delegating complex queries to the pharmacist appropriately.
  • Follow strict Standard Operating Procedures to guarantee the legal and secure dispensing of medicines.
  • Stay informed on new in-store innovations and comply with operational workflows.
  • Assist patients in managing their prescriptions effectively, promoting medication adherence and minimizing waste.

You will engage with emerging technologies to innovate dispensing processes, increasing patient safety and enabling more patient-centric time.

Qualifications and Eligibility

  • Possess the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification (or equivalent), or be progressing through your first year of an MPharm degree.
  • Hold a valid UK right to work status. Note that this role does not sponsor Skilled Worker Visas.
  • Experience in community pharmacy is advantageous but not essential.

Compensation and Benefits

  • An hourly pay starting at £13.92, with rates up to £16.64 in selected London locations.
