About the Role
Cootharinga is seeking compassionate Direct Support Workers in Townsville, Queensland. This position is ideal for people who want to make a genuine difference in the lives of others while building meaningful relationships through everyday support.

Key Duties
- Assist with personal care tasks, with training provided where needed.
- Carry out manual handling support safely and correctly.
- Provide social support and companionship to participants.
- Help with transport needs and getting people where they need to go.
- Prepare meals as part of day-to-day support.
- Complete domestic tasks and maintain a tidy environment.
- Keep accurate records and documentation.

What You Need
- A genuine desire to support others; the organisation can teach the rest.
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one.
- A Working with Children Blue Card, or willingness to obtain one.
- A current Queensland driver licence, with at least an open licence.
- A valid First Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to complete it.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Quality Orientation Module, which is free.
- If selected after interview, the organisation may assist with obtaining the required clearances.
