Job description
Role Overview
Hop Lun is seeking a senior business development leader to spearhead growth for its US lingerie and intimate apparel business. This role is responsible for shaping sales direction, strengthening customer partnerships, and contributing market insight to support commercial performance across existing and new accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute short-, medium-, and long-range plans to increase sales and support marketing initiatives that lift overall revenue.
- Set sales targets by forecasting demand and building annual plans for major customers, including projections for revenue and profitability from both current and prospective accounts.
- Grow business opportunities by building strategic customer relationships and deepening existing accounts to ensure long-term value on both sides.
- Provide clients with market intelligence and shopper insights, serving as a trusted advisor on category trends, competitor activity, and new product developments.
- Guide and develop the team to foster a strong sales mindset and effective operating practices across business units, while maintaining consistency and best-in-class execution.
- Lead through clear communication, hands-on coaching, and team development, while tracking performance against goals and taking corrective action when needed.
- Bring forward new ideas and practical solutions to cross-functional partners to improve collaboration with the ODM business team and increase visibility, ownership, and results.
- Assess lingerie and fashion market movements to establish improved operating practices, monitor shifts in sales behavior, and recommend pricing or merchandising changes as needed.
Requirements
- A degree is required.
- At least 15 years of strong US sales and operations experience in fashion, apparel, or retail, with deep specialization in lingerie or intimate apparel.
- Minimum 8 years in a senior leadership position.
- Proven ability to drive and sustain business growth.
- Experience creating and delivering tactical sales plans, including account-level goals.
- Strong leadership background with a demonstrated ability to recruit, manage, and develop teams across diverse cultures.
- Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through skills, including confidence in presenting to buyers and representatives.
- Highly sales-driven with strong negotiation, influencing, and presentation capabilities.
- Proactive problem-solving approach with sound judgment when handling challenges.
- Ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and executive-level partners.
- Must be based in the US and willing to travel to customer locations and manufacturing headquarters as required.
- Highly customer-focused and results-oriented, with strong commercial acumen.
