Job description
Overview
An expanding medical technology manufacturer is looking for a senior sourcing executive to shape and strengthen its global supplier strategy. In this role, you will sit at the core of operations and have a direct impact on business results, supply continuity, and the company’s ability to scale over time.
This position is based in the Greater Seattle area and requires full-time, on-site leadership. Relocation support is included, along with a competitive compensation package.
About the Role
You will own the full sourcing function across an international supplier base that supports a heavily outsourced manufacturing model. The goal is to build stronger supplier relationships, improve cost competitiveness, lower risk exposure, and create a sourcing organization that can support long-term growth.
In partnership with Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Operations, you will act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on supply planning, commercial negotiations, and global risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a future-focused global sourcing plan that supports business expansion priorities
- Manage complex supplier negotiations and negotiate long-term commercial contracts
- Strengthen the cost base through category strategy and value engineering efforts
- Build supply continuity through risk reviews, resilience planning, and diversified sourcing approaches
- Set clear supplier expectations using KPIs and evidence-based performance tracking
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sourcing and procurement team
- Bring sourcing considerations into product development early to support competitive launch pricing
Experience Required
The role calls for a leader with deep procurement expertise in industrial manufacturing, MedTech, pharmaceuticals, or consumer goods, along with strong experience managing worldwide supplier networks. You should bring executive-level presence, commercial strength in difficult negotiations, and the ability to create structured sourcing processes, governance, and performance management systems. Financial literacy is essential, including the ability to connect sourcing decisions to margin and working capital outcomes.
Additional Information
Relocation assistance will be provided. The position is full-time and requires on-site presence in the Greater Seattle market.
