Role overview
The company is looking for a strategic and energetic Human Resources leader to serve as Director, People & Culture Business Partner. In this role, you will support senior leaders across multiple client groups, strengthen a high-performing and engaged culture, and act as a hands-on partner and change catalyst. The position calls for someone who can influence broadly, guide organizational priorities, and help shape a more connected and accountable workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the main advisor to the executive team on people and culture topics, including organizational development, talent management, change leadership, culture building, and people analytics.
- Create and execute people strategies that support business goals and reinforce a high-accountability culture focused on the client experience.
- Work with business leaders to evaluate and develop talent so critical roles are staffed with strong performers who support long-term success.
- Lead workforce planning, talent planning, and succession planning across client groups by identifying future talent needs, assessing key risks, and building strong succession pipelines.
- Monitor AI-enabled HR tools and help the organization use technology to improve talent decisions and the associate experience.
- Use engagement data and workforce insights to identify patterns, raise concerns, and build targeted actions that improve culture and reduce attrition.
- Partner with People & Culture Centers of Excellence to align strategy within client groups and strengthen team performance, engagement, and development.
- Take part in and lead cross-functional initiatives that design and roll out new programs and processes supporting long-term company priorities.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and development support to People & Culture team members while promoting continuous improvement.
- Work with the Associate Relations Center on sensitive, high-visibility associate relations matters and investigations to support organizational stability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
- Strong commercial understanding and analytical capability.
- Advanced influencing ability with a demonstrated history of leading organizational change.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving team environment and adapt to shifting priorities, direction, and responsibilities.
- Preferred: experience supporting a multi-state field organization.
- Preferred: SHRM-related certification such as PHR or SPHR, or an MBA.
- Preferred: experience using people analytics platforms.
- Preferred: proven success in large-scale change management.
- Preferred: experience supporting distributed workforce models.
- Preferred: familiarity with AI-driven HR tools and systems.
Compensation and benefits
The salary range for this role is $143,600 to $244,100 per year. Pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and location. Eligible associates may also take part in incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which can add to total earnings based on plan terms.
