Job description

About the Company

Colombo & Hurd is a U.S. immigration law practice that helps highly accomplished professionals establish their future in the United States, including scientists, engineers, founders, physicians, and researchers. Since 2006, the firm has expanded to a global team of more than 450 employees and has helped secure permanent residence for thousands of clients through self-petition immigration routes such as EB-2 National Interest Waiver, EB-1A, and O-1.

The firm already has strong legal expertise and is now looking to communicate that expertise through video and social content that builds confidence, reaches the right audience, and drives action.

Role Overview

This position calls for a strategic and imaginative leader who understands how to create content that people will actually stop to watch, trust, and respond to. It is not a hands-on production or editing role. Instead, the focus is on deciding what should be made, why it matters, and how it can support growth.

You will convert complex, trust-sensitive legal topics into engaging video and social content that strengthens authority and captures attention. In partnership with attorneys, the production team, and the digital ads team, you will shape content that performs across major platforms.

The role covers the complete content journey, from concept development and narrative shaping to distribution and performance analysis, with particular emphasis on organic social media and paid media impact.

You do not need prior immigration law expertise, although it would be an added advantage. What matters most is the ability to create compelling content around difficult topics and the curiosity to learn the subject deeply enough to do it well.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead the video and social content strategy across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

You will decide what content should be created, who it should speak to, and what results it should deliver.

You will develop creative concepts such as hooks, series ideas, formats, and storytelling structures that improve retention and engagement.

You will shape both long-form YouTube assets and short-form vertical video for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts.

You will write and brief production teams so ideas are clearly carried from concept through final execution.

You will create strong short-form copy, including hooks, captions, and on-screen text, adapted for each platform.

You will also develop and refine ad copy for paid social campaigns so that organic content and conversion-focused messaging work together.

You will work with attorneys to translate complicated legal subjects into content that is clear, accurate, and engaging.

You will coordinate closely with the ads team to make sure content is designed for engagement, targeting, and conversions, not only views.

You will review performance data such as retention, watch time, engagement, and conversions, then use those insights to improve future content.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading video and social content strategies that have delivered measurable outcomes such as audience growth, engagement, retention, and conversions.

You should bring strong experience in both organic social media and paid media, including practical ability to write ad copy that performs well.

Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, along with the ability to create or adapt content for both language audiences.

You need a strong instinct for hooks, pacing, and storytelling that keeps people watching and sharing.

You should be able to simplify complex, high-trust topics while preserving nuance and credibility.

Strong editorial judgment and an understanding of how tone and voice should differ by platform are important.

Experience leading creative direction and collaborating across production, subject-matter experts, marketing, and paid media teams is expected.

What the Role Offers

You will have access to deep subject-matter expertise, a production team to bring ideas to life, and budget support for the work. The mission is meaningful, and the content you create will help talented people build their lives in the United States. There is also room to create work that endures over time.
