Job description
About the Company
Personified provides managed IT and cybersecurity support to campaigns, nonprofits, and other mission-aligned organizations. Its work is centered on helping clients run their technology and security programs so they can stay focused on the work that matters most to them.
The company operates as a true extension of client teams. It becomes deeply embedded in day-to-day communication, supports new hires as a first point of contact, and handles the kind of IT and security issues that an internal team would normally manage. The goal is to build trust and use that trust to help keep threats out.
Well-known organizations across the progressive space already rely on Personified as a trusted technology and cybersecurity partner, and the team is growing further.
About the Role
The Director of Training & Content is responsible for shaping how Personified builds knowledge, capability, and confidence across both client organizations and the internal team. This position leads training and enablement efforts that help clients adopt safer security habits, improve AI literacy, and use technology more effectively.
The role defines the training approach, manages programs, reviews and develops training assets for both clients and internal teams, and produces original content such as live presentation decks, written how-to guides, and structured curricula. It also involves coaching teammates as they take on more responsibility in security and training work.
This position reports directly to the CTO.
What You Will Do
- Create and maintain reusable training deck templates, then tailor them for each client based on their environment, security needs, and technical audience level.
- Lead and co-facilitate client workshops on AI and cybersecurity together with other Personified team members.
- Refresh learning materials on usability-related topics such as 1Password, data retention, and different AI tools.
- Adjust both content and delivery style for audiences with varying levels of technical comfort.
- Develop scalable original learning assets, including live training decks, written guides, recorded sessions, and onboarding resources.
- Coach colleagues across departments as they take on new security and training responsibilities, helping them build confidence and internal capability.
- Work with internal stakeholders so that training reflects current best practices and the realities of client environments.
- Produce documentation that is clear enough for a future team member or successor to use without additional explanation.
- Partner with leaders in Client Support, IT Operations, and Engineering so the training content matches how the team actually works and what clients truly need.
- Monitor training effectiveness, review results, and update materials based on what is and is not working.
- Act as the internal expert on training, AI adoption, and security awareness across the company.
- Work with marketing and partnerships teams to extend these messages externally and support new client growth.
Experience and Skills
This role calls for deep experience in IT, cybersecurity, or client-facing education, including ownership of a training program or similar function. Candidates should be able to turn complicated technical or security topics into simple, accessible explanations for non-technical audiences.
Strong original content development is essential, along with the ability to design and deliver training materials from the ground up. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills are also needed to confidently run live sessions and adjust to different audience types.
Applicants should also bring experience mentoring or coaching coworkers across functions, strong Google Workspace proficiency, and familiarity with tools such as 1Password, passkeys, Microsoft products, and Slack. A customer-service mindset and comfort working in a remote, fast-moving environment are important. Experience supporting progressive, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations is considered an advantage.
