About the Role

JAM+ owns and operates three well-known brands in the office and business supplies space: envelopes.com, folders.com, and jampaper.com. The company was created through the combination of JAM Paper & Envelope and BigName Commerce, and it sells through major channels such as Amazon, Staples, Office Depot, WB Mason, and others. With decades of category expertise, JAM+ is focused on the next phase of expansion through smarter, technology-enabled selling.

The organization is hiring a Director of Sales & AI-Powered Growth who can both win business personally and build the systems that create it at scale. This is a player-coach position: you will manage your own pipeline, lead a small team of experienced sales representatives, and drive the company’s move into AI-powered outbound prospecting and lead generation. You will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and help shape how the commercial team grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Win new B2B business across office supplies, print, packaging, and related categories.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and channel or distribution partners.
  • Work with the CRO to establish revenue goals and take ownership of your sales target.
  • Guide, coach, and manage a sales team with mixed levels of experience so the group can meet shared revenue goals.
  • Lead regular pipeline reviews, support deal planning, and help the team adapt its selling approach to new tools and methods.
  • Create a team culture that values existing industry expertise while adopting modern ways of working.
  • Design, launch, and manage the outbound engine using Apollo.io, including sequences, targeting, list building, inbox setup, and deliverability.
  • Apply AI tools to research prospects, rank opportunities, and personalize outreach at scale.
  • Set the lead-scoring model, audience segmentation, and ideal customer profile criteria for the core product lines.
  • Monitor performance metrics such as open rates, reply rates, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution, then keep improving the process.
  • Stay informed about new AI sales products and recommend tools worth adopting.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in manufacturing, wholesale, print, packaging, or office products, or clear proof that you can quickly learn a tangible goods category.
  • Hands-on experience setting up and operating outbound tools such as Apollo, Outreach, Instantly, Clay, or similar platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of AI tools in a sales environment, including using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity to write sequences, research prospects, and personalize outreach efficiently.
  • A demonstrated record of consistently achieving quota and closing deals, not just generating pipeline.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring sales representatives.
  • An entrepreneurial, self-directed mindset with comfort working in ambiguity and moving quickly.
  • Excellent writing skills, especially for persuasive sales outreach.
  • Bonus experience: building internal tools, automations, or dashboards that improve team productivity; selling to national retailers, office distributors, or commercial print buyers; administering CRM and pipeline reporting in HubSpot or Salesforce.
