Role overview
Royce Dental Group is hiring a Director of Operations to oversee the overall health and performance of its clinic network in Singapore. This position reports to the CEO or Managing Director and is responsible for driving profitability, improving the operating model, strengthening manpower deployment and productivity, elevating patient experience, maintaining compliance, and enabling scalable growth across multiple locations.
Core responsibilities
- Set the operational direction for the business and translate company goals into practical execution plans.
- Manage the day-to-day running of clinics, departments, or other business units.
- Track operational outcomes, spot gaps, and lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Design, refine, and enforce operating procedures, standards, and policies.
- Use operational and financial information to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
- Review KPIs and other performance indicators to guide decision-making.
- Identify ways to improve efficiency, output, and profitability.
- Prepare regular performance updates and business recommendations for senior leadership.
- Improve the experience of both patients and employees through targeted initiatives.
- Lead Cluster Managers and Clinic Managers while maintaining clear accountability across the management structure.
- Develop a strong performance-driven culture built on ownership and excellence.
- Contribute to succession planning and staff development efforts.
- Work with HR on workforce planning and engagement initiatives.
- Oversee operating budgets and make sure resources are used wisely.
- Control expenditure and promote cost-efficient practices.
- Support business growth, revenue improvement, and expansion projects.
- Plan the effective use of manpower, equipment, and facilities.
- Ensure the organization meets regulatory, policy, and industry requirements.
- Assess operational risks and introduce appropriate mitigation measures.
- Lead service quality assurance and maintain delivery standards.
- Handle crisis response and business continuity planning when needed.
- Drive transformation programs, automation, and process enhancements across the clinic network.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, new clinic launches, and expansion work.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute strategic business plans.
- Assess and recommend technology and automation tools that improve operations.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Operations Management, or a similar discipline is required.
- Applicants should have 8 to 15 years of experience in operations leadership.
- Experience managing multi-site operations is preferred.
- Strong financial understanding and business analysis capability are important.
- Prior exposure to leading large teams and senior managers is expected.
- Background in healthcare, dental, retail, or other service-led industries is highly beneficial.
