Job description
Role Overview
The Director of Operations will lead the company’s core operational areas, including machining, assembly, quality, and supply chain. This position sets the direction for operational performance, helping the business grow profitably while meeting customer expectations for quality, cost control, and dependable delivery.
As part of the leadership group, this person will align teams across functions, guide long-term planning, and champion continuous improvement. The role also owns the strategy and execution for the full supply chain and contributes directly to business goals, operational excellence, and overall organizational results.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and hands-on oversight across manufacturing and supply chain operations.
Build and execute operational plans that improve scalability, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Lead cross-functional coordination and support long-range business planning.
Drive continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
Manage the end-to-end supply chain strategy and its execution.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong depth in manufacturing operations, supply chain planning, and full-cycle operational leadership.
- Ability to turn strategy into measurable business outcomes.
- Sound financial judgment, including budgeting, cost control, and capital planning.
- Practical experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence methods.
- Track record of leading large teams across multiple functions and levels.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Data-based problem solving and analytical decision-making strength.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP platforms and advanced planning systems.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, growth-focused environment.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and results orientation.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. Equivalent education and experience may also be considered.
Experience
Candidates should bring 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations or supply chain leadership. The role also calls for 8 to 10 years of progressive leadership experience at senior or director level. Experience in electronics manufacturing or a related sector is strongly preferred.
