Overview
Stradley Davidson is a Charleston-based specialty linen rental business serving the event industry across the Southeast and beyond. Since launching in January 2021, the company has become a trusted local source for unique, high-quality textiles, with a strong focus on client service and reliability.
About the Role
The company is looking for a practical, experienced Director of Operations to guide day-to-day execution and help shape the systems needed for continued growth. This leadership position will be responsible for operational oversight, team development, inventory control, warehouse coordination, vendor management, and process improvement. The right person will be equally comfortable setting direction and rolling up their sleeves to solve problems in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations so work runs smoothly, accurately, and with a high standard of service.
- Coach, develop, and hold the operations team accountable through hiring support, training, performance management, and regular feedback.
- Oversee warehouse activity, including fulfillment, shipping, receiving, returns, and inventory control.
- Create, refine, and document workflows, procedures, and operating standards.
- Maintain relationships with vendors such as service providers, shipping partners, and equipment suppliers.
- Track operational spending, budgets, and resource use to support healthy financial performance.
- Introduce systems, tools, and technology that improve visibility, efficiency, and scalability.
- Work with company leadership on operational plans that support business growth.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience leading operations, ideally in logistics, warehousing, hospitality, event services, fulfillment, rental operations, or another service-based business.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams, managing workflows, and improving operational performance.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with inventory control, logistics, scheduling, and vendor coordination is preferred.
- Ability to pair strategic planning with direct, hands-on execution.
- Financial understanding, including budget oversight and cost control, is a plus.

Success in this role will be reflected in stronger operational efficiency, better team accountability, improved inventory accuracy, smoother fulfillment, and more effective coordination between warehouse, returns, laundry, and client-facing teams. It also includes reliable vendor performance, clear documentation, and less dependence on the founders for everyday operational decisions.
