mavn is growing at the intersection of creators, brands, and events. This role is designed for someone who can work closely with the founder and play a major part in the company’s next stage of expansion. It is a practical, high-impact position for a professional who can balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.

Role focus

The Director of Marketing & Growth will own marketing strategy, market expansion, events, partnerships, and strategic growth initiatives. The position calls for someone who understands both brand-building and performance marketing, and who can move comfortably between long-term planning and hands-on delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Shape and lead the company’s overall marketing direction.
  • Create campaigns and growth initiatives that raise awareness and bring in qualified opportunities.
  • Run growth efforts across paid, owned, earned, and partner-led channels.
  • Monitor results and refine programs using data and performance insights.
  • Maintain clear and consistent messaging and positioning across all external touchpoints.
  • Drive expansion into priority markets such as New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Austin, Chicago, and other strategic cities.
  • Build and execute market-entry plans that support awareness, partnerships, creator acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Develop relationships with local brands, agencies, event teams, hospitality groups, sports organizations, and community leaders.
  • Spot opportunities for activations, partnerships, and events that establish mavn in new regions.
  • Create repeatable frameworks for launching and scaling presence in new markets.
  • Study market trends, competition, and customer signals to identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead marketing around events, activations, creator experiences, and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with sponsors, partners, creators, and clients to maximize reach and impact.
  • Design approaches that extend the value of events beyond the event date itself.
  • Support mavn’s positioning as a leading voice in the creator economy.
  • Identify partnership opportunities that contribute to awareness, revenue, and long-term growth.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, networking events, and activations.
  • Work with leadership on partnership strategy and business development priorities.
  • Help open doors to introductions and opportunities that support customer acquisition and company growth.
  • Partner directly with the founder on growth-related initiatives.
  • Contribute to long-term strategy for marketing, partnerships, and expansion.
  • Build scalable processes and systems that support future growth.
  • Bring fresh ideas, market intelligence, and new opportunities into the business.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in growth, partnerships, marketing, business development, brand strategy, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of helping companies enter new markets, expand geographically, or build awareness in new regions.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships that produce measurable business outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of partnerships, marketing, events, community building, and growth strategy.
  • Experience planning and delivering initiatives that support customer acquisition, revenue growth, and brand awareness.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Comfort working with data and turning insights into action.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage several priorities at once.
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment.
  • Must be based in Miami or South Florida.
  • Availability for in-person meetings, events, activations, and occasional travel, while working remotely day to day.

Preferred background

  • Experience launching brands, products, communities, or partnerships in new markets.
  • Background in building regional or national growth strategies.
  • Existing relationships in hospitality, entertainment, sports, media, tourism, agency, or brand communities.
  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments.
  • Exposure to paid media, CRM systems, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
  • Experience in the creator economy, influencer marketing, experiential marketing, media, hospitality, tourism, sports, or technology is an advantage.

Work setup
