Role overview

The position is intended for a leader who can shape enterprise-wide leadership growth, strengthen talent development, and improve organizational effectiveness across the business. It is a Portland, Oregon area role that must be performed fully on site.
The position is best suited to someone who is both strategic and highly hands-on, with experience launching programs from scratch, working closely with executive leaders, and creating development solutions that can scale as the workforce expands. The compensation for this position includes a base salary range of $140,000 to $180,000, depending on experience.
What you will be responsible for
- Setting the overall learning and leadership development direction for the organization.
- Creating and rolling out development programs for leaders across all levels.

- Developing repeatable learning structures, tools, and supporting materials that can scale.
- Running leadership workshops, training sessions, and coaching engagements.
- Working with business leaders to uncover skills gaps and identify development needs.
- Improving onboarding experiences and broader employee development offerings.

- Contributing to organizational development and change management efforts.
- Managing, coaching, and supporting members of the learning and development team.
- Continuously improving learning platforms, content, and delivery approaches.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree; an advanced degree is preferred. They should bring at least 8 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Talent Management, or a closely related area. Strong experience designing leadership development programs and talent strategies is essential.
Success in this role requires someone who can build new systems, processes, and frameworks rather than only maintaining existing ones. The candidate should also have excellent facilitation, coaching, and executive-level communication skills, along with experience influencing senior stakeholders and working across multiple layers of an organization.
A strong grasp of adult learning principles, instructional design methods, and outcome measurement is important, as is the ability to use data to improve programs over time. The role calls for a person who can think strategically while also executing at a practical, day-to-day level.
