About the Company
Legends Gaming, an operating division of Minard Enterprises, is expanding quickly within Georgia's Class B Coin Operated Amusement Machine (COAM) sector. The organization is looking for a practical, roll-up-your-sleeves IT leader to create and direct the technology function while supporting a bold, multi-year growth strategy.
Role Overview
This full-time, on-site leadership role is responsible for shaping the company's technology direction, building core infrastructure, strengthening cybersecurity, and ensuring technology practices remain aligned with regulatory expectations. The role also partners closely with executive leadership to support operations across headquarters and distributed gaming locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and lead the IT department from scratch, including infrastructure, networks, end-user devices, security, and support services.
- Create IT policies, procedures, and controls suited to a rapidly growing organization operating in a regulated environment.
- Define and drive the technology plan that supports both the headquarters and distributed gaming operations.
- Own cybersecurity planning, risk management, audit readiness, and incident response activities.
- Contribute to the company's AI-driven analytics solution used to improve game placement and performance results.
- Oversee external partners for hardware, software, connectivity, and managed IT services.
- Maintain business continuity, system uptime, and disaster recovery readiness across all sites.
- Recruit, develop, and expand the IT team as the business scales.
- Prepare executive-level and board-level updates covering technology performance, risk, and compliance.
- Coordinate technology matters with regulators, including the Georgia Lottery Corporation, while meeting federal and state compliance obligations.
- Work directly with the Founder/CEO and executive team on planning and execution of strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, ideally gained in a high-growth or early-stage organization.
- Previous experience serving as a Director of IT, VP of IT, or in another senior technology leadership position is preferred.
- Government IT experience is required, including work in federal, state, or other regulated public-sector settings.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, audits, and agency interactions at the federal and state level.
- Comfort working hands-on and building systems and processes from the ground up.
- Solid cybersecurity experience, with exposure to frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or similar standards.
- Experience supporting distributed infrastructure, field-based hardware, and multi-location operations.
- Background in regulated industries such as gaming, lottery, fintech, healthcare, or similar is preferred; COAM experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related area is required.
- CISSP, CISM, PMP, or an MBA is preferred.
