Its products and services reach dental professionals in over 150 countries, supporting better patient care around the world.

In North America, the company operates sites in Ontario, Quebec, and Pennsylvania. The Cambridge, Ontario location is home to Novocol Pharma, a long-established center for sterile injectable cartridges and combination product manufacturing, supported by 693 team members and modern production capabilities.

The organization emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and meaningful impact, with a mission focused on improving lives and advancing patient care.

Role Overview

Septodont is hiring a Director, Global Business Analytics and Processes to lead global finance analytics, reporting, and process governance. Reporting to the VP Finance, Group FP&A and with indirect reporting to the Senior Vice President, Finance, this position will shape how financial insights, discipline, and governance support leadership decisions and long-term value creation.

This leader will oversee the ongoing development of monthly management reporting and Board materials, strengthen analytics and performance insights, and establish global standards for core finance processes such as budgeting, strategic planning, and capital expenditure. The role also carries responsibility for finance transformation and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on simplification, automation, and cost efficiency across the global finance function.

Executive Reporting and Analytics

  • Lead the creation, refinement, and ongoing improvement of monthly management reports and Board-ready materials so they remain clear, consistent, and decision-focused.
  • Work closely with the SVP Finance and the wider finance organization to improve the quality of financial insights, narrative, and performance commentary.
  • Build advanced analytics tools and approaches, including KPI frameworks, trend reviews, scenario modeling, and performance-driver analysis across business functions and regions.
  • Make sure reporting and analytics align with corporate strategy and support both near-term performance management and long-range decision-making.

Global Process Ownership and Governance

  • Take ownership of key global finance processes, including annual budgeting, latest estimate cycles, strategic planning, and multi-year outlook development.
  • Strengthen standardization and efficiency in the capital expenditure process.
  • Oversee equity investment planning, governance, and post-investment tracking.
  • Set clear standards, schedules, responsibilities, and governance structures across regions.
  • Maintain consistency and control while preserving appropriate flexibility for local business requirements.
  • Regularly evaluate process quality and maturity against recognized best practices.

Finance Transformation and Continuous Improvement

  • Identify, rank, and lead initiatives that simplify and improve finance processes across FP&A, reporting, planning, and cost management.
  • Promote automation and digital tools that increase speed, accuracy, and efficiency in finance operations and analytics.
  • Drive programs aimed at cost savings, better productivity, and higher-value finance work in collaboration with global and regional teams.
  • Convert strategic goals into clearly defined improvement projects with measurable results.

Leadership and Change Management

  • Serve as a change leader and a visible example of a modern, insight-led finance organization.
  • Collaborate across Operations, Commercial, IT, and other teams to embed analytics and financial discipline into everyday business decisions.
  • Provide thought leadership, coaching, and influence across the global finance community without depending on direct reporting lines.
  • Help build finance capability, analytics fluency, and stronger process discipline across the business.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. An MBA or CPA is considered a strong advantage. The role calls for at least 6 years of experience in finance operations, project management, or a similar function, along with proven experience leading finance transformation or process improvement initiatives.

Strong knowledge of financial systems, including ERP platforms and analytics tools such as Power BI, is expected. The role also requires a solid grasp of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, together with leadership capability, team management experience, and the ability to drive organizational change.

Applicants should bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong interest in innovation and continuous improvement, and a strategic outlook that aligns finance priorities with broader business goals. Extensive exposure to FP&A, management reporting, analytics, and finance process governance is highly relevant. Experience improving executive- and Board-level reporting, turning complex data into practical insights, and leading automation initiatives is important. A working understanding of IFRS and experience with SAP S/4HANA would be an asset.
