Role Overview
A fast-growing performance apparel and active lifestyle company is looking for a Director of Brand, Content & Culture to shape and scale how the brand presents itself worldwide. This position partners closely with the executive team and is responsible for guiding the creative vision, the brand storytelling framework, and the brand’s cultural presence across campaigns, content, social channels, and creator programs.
The company already has a strong product-market fit and a dedicated community. The next stage is to build a truly category-leading brand through standout storytelling, content, and cultural relevance.
Core Scope
This role sits at the centre of brand and creative direction, content and social strategy, the creator and athlete ecosystem, and campaign and go-to-market storytelling. The goal is to develop a scalable narrative engine that connects brand identity, product stories, creators, and community into one coherent system.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and continuously refine the brand voice, visual identity, and overall storytelling system.
- Lead integrated brand campaigns and high-impact cultural moments.
- Maintain a consistent brand presence across every customer-facing channel.
- Own the content and social strategy across priority platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Build a repeatable, high-volume content engine that reflects both product and culture.
- Keep storytelling active at all times and aligned to launches and campaign timelines.
- Expand athlete and creator programs into a structured cultural channel.
- Integrate creators into both organic and paid storytelling efforts.
- Deepen community engagement and strengthen brand loyalty.
- Lead go-to-market storytelling for major product launches.
- Collaborate with the Growth team to align brand execution with performance marketing.
- Create campaign systems that can be repeated and tied to product release cycles.
Experience Profile
The preferred background includes 7 to 12+ years of marketing experience, with senior-level leadership in brand or content roles. Candidates should have experience building brand systems within consumer businesses in the $50M to $500M+ range and a strong record of bringing together brand, content, and storytelling.
Hands-on experience leading creator, influencer, or athlete-led programs is important. Experience in apparel, fitness, sport, outdoor, or broader lifestyle brands is preferred. Exposure to fast-scaling or globally expanding consumer brands is a significant advantage.
Ideal Candidate Background
- Brand or Content Director at a global apparel or outdoor company.
- Senior brand leader in a high-growth direct-to-consumer or performance-led business.
- Agency strategist who has managed major consumer brand accounts.
- Marketing leader from a culturally influential sport or lifestyle brand.
