- Oversee project and pursuit teams, focusing on risk mitigation and successful deal closure, while clearly articulating CCC's role, processes, capabilities, and limitations.
- Lead the identification, prospecting, and qualification of export sales opportunities in selected international markets through a structured business development process.
- Prepare and submit reports on prospective projects, sector/region activities, and event summaries, including analysis for internal and external stakeholders such as the Risk and Opportunity Committee, Senior Management Committee, and the Board of Directors.
- Undertake domestic and international travel to build and maintain effective business relationships with industry stakeholders and decision-makers, present value propositions, and manage customer relationship databases.
- Engage strategically with government departments and agencies, including the Minister's office, Export Development Canada (EDC), the Trade Commissioner Service, and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), to support Canadian exporters.

- Understanding of best practices, trends, and challenges in risk management, financial planning, business development, government relations, procurement, and results-based outcomes.
- Familiarity with the economic, political, legal, cultural, and social contexts of international partners and stakeholders.
